FAQ

What are shipping charges outside of the United States?
Please email us first about the item and where it will be sent. We then will hold the item and get back to you with the appropriate shipping costs before you make the actual purchase as it may influence your decision.
What if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
If you are not satisfied, return the product within 10 days of receiving it via USPS, insured for the value and you will receive a full refund of the purchase price less the shipping. Bottom line is you will have to pay the shipping (insured) both ways but will be reimbursed for the cost of the product.
What if I receive my purchase broken?
Items will be shipped via USPS and will be insured for their value. Take the broken or damaged item and packaging to the post office through which you received it. They will get you started on the paperwork and it usually takes a few weeks to finalize the claim. Peg’s Pots, etc. will be happy to support you with any documentation you might need to help with your claim.
What do you charge for shipping?
For the United States, we charge a flat rate based on the dollar value you purchase. Rates are: $.01 – $9.99 = $6 $10 – $49.99 = $10 $50 – $99.99 = $13 $100 – 199.99 = $18 $200 – up = $22
What do Cone 6 and Cone 10 mean?
Cone 6 is in the medium range of firing temperatures and Cone 10 is in the high range of firing temperatures. The clays are made for a specific firing range where they achieve their most vitreous state. Within each firing range there are any number of different types and colors of clay. These two ranges have the same features of being microwave, dishwasher and oven safe although longevity in terms of rugged use might be more affected in Cone 6 vs. Cone 10. Low fire clays, on the other hand, are best to be handwashed, can more readily become non-food safe and are not to be subjected to water in the long term or a deterioration of the glaze and clay might be experienced. When you buy pottery, be sure to know what firing range the pieces are from so they can be treated appropriately. Always ask when purchasing pottery so you know the appropriate care for your piece.
